The Blues Brothers

Our original intention was to show The Outrun, starring Saoirse Ronan, in April, but we felt we needed something lighter after Small Things Like These.

Having limited choice, we have gone for The Blues Brothers, a ‘manic musical romp that still sings today’. John Landis struck gold with this madcap 1980 comedy, a masterpiece of choreographed destruction with a killer soundtrack. It stars Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, but employs a who’s-who of black musical stars including Ray Charles, James Brown and Aretha Franklin.
